Turmeric: The Healing Herb

Turmeric is known to treat digestive disorders, skin infections, and inflammation. Use it as much as possible in your diet; it really is an incredible potent healing herb... A powerful all-rounder, turmeric is a blood purifier that helps the liver to detoxify, with additional benefits for both the skin and the digestive system (thank me later!).

I use it to make a warm and healing tonic of my own:

Components:

  • 2 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 2 tbsp ginger juice (or 2 tsp powdered ginger)
  • 1 tsp turmeric
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • Pinch black pepper
  • 1 tbsp Manuka honey

Warm almond milk in a saucepan until hot. Stir in remaining ingredients over low heat until fully mixed and serve warm.
